In 2022, Josh was honoured by the City of Kingston with a Mayor’s Arts Award in the Creator category. This video (created by Jay Middaugh) gives an overview of Josh and his work on various creative and collaborative projects.

Josh is a grateful guest on Turtle Island, living in an area known as Ka’tarohkwi or Kingston, Ontario, Canada (an area with no treaty, under the “Crawford Purchase“). Many aspects of his life and art practice are influenced by questions of belonging to the land as an immigrant and Settler Colonial beneficiary, with a deep commitment to continued learning from Indigenous peoples and actively engaged in anti-colonial solidarity.
